ECHH is a locally run affiliate of
Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for
Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The
houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Back To Top |

 Erath County Habitat for Humanity began construction of House Number 11 at 485 Paddock August 22, 2006. Volunteer participation has been excellent. To see how you can get involved in this exciting project contact Chuck Rives at 254-968-9240 or rives@tarleton.edu.ECHH anticpates that construction of this house will continue throughout February,2006. ECHH anticipates that it will begin construction on House Number 12 in the Fall of 2007.

Erath County Habitat is always looking for volunteers to help with construction, provide meals, or serve on the Board of Directors or a subcommittee. Contact Sylvia Zamora at 254-965-2605 or email her at silviagzamora@yahoo.com if you would like to participate in our Christian Housing Ministry. The Tarleton Chapter of Erath County Habitat for Humanity is very active. Contact Dr.Leslie Spotz at 254- 968-9241 or spotz@tarleton.edu if you are a student who is interested in getting involved. Erath County Habitat for Humanity is currently accepting applications to become a partner family. The next application cycle will begin on January 15, 2007. |
